Hello….
I met another Natalya that has the same story…..her father killed in the war, her ex boyfriend named maxhim cheated on her, she takes the train to Barsovo from Surgut to see her mum Olga and her aunt Vera. Has shown me pictures of her with her friends Yulia, Sveta, Elena at cafe. Some pics appear from an iPhone and some look professional. She very attractive but I don’t consider myself to be chopped liver.
***these are two letters***
Today in the morning I have woken up with fine mood, in the street was warmly and brightly the sun I shone has made to itself fragrant tea and all the day long thought of you, you do not leave at me a head, you seem very interesting person and I wish to communicate with you and I weigh day hoped that that you will write to me and we shall begin with you our acquaintance but when I has come to library and has not seen your message I was upset, but I write to you with hope that you will answer my letter, I with greater desire shall wait for your letter! Natalya!!
****here’s another letter***
Hello! Scott, I am glad to see your answer. How has passed your day? How is the weather in your city? My day today has passed well. Scott I agree with you that work on the house as not so easily. I always would dream of that that I shall sit at home and to bring up children and to wait for the the man after its difficult working day. And as soon as it would come home I would do all for that that to it was always convenient with me. I as well as you very much wish to know about you and your life all. All that of what you think. All your ideas. All your experiences. You very good friend I are confident and never will hurt me. I think, that we should write each other more what to learn each other better.
Today I wish to tell to you more about the life. As I to you already I was born and have grown in city Barsovo. In 2003, I have with distinction left school. After before me there was a question of a choice of a trade. I always wished to make the world better, to help people. Having consulted to mum, I have made a decision to act in Surgut, gosudarstvennyi tekhnologicheskii. I have chosen a trade the sociologist. In 2008, I have ended institute. After the termination of institute I have returned to the native city. I have tried to find work in Barsovo what to be closer to my mum, but could not find not that suitable. After that I have made a decision to come back back in Surgut as this city is much more, and at me was more chances to find there work. I have collected things and have gone to a way. Having arrived in Surgut was under construction to live in a hostel, after I descended on labour exchange and have left there the resume. Labour exchange, this personnel agency. I long could not find not that suitable, and I had to work as the waitress in cafe. It was very heavy work, but it allowed me to earn on existence. In four months to me have offered work in Housing Municipal services, on a post “ the worker with the public ”. I was very glad to this offer and there and then it have accepted. I worked in this company during six years, before its closing. Then I had to search again for work, and I have found it in a social service where I work, to this day. To me brings pleasure my work. I consider, that I have very successfully chosen a trade, it allows me to be realized. It seems to me that self-realization is very important thing as it allows to feel a life on the present. Scott and as whom you work? What trade at you? You consider, what it approaches you? Scott, I hope, that today’s my letter has allowed you to present I wish a life is little bit better. I shall wait for your following letter and I hope, that you as to me will tell more about the biography. Natalya!
****sorry for the length and I wish I could upload one of her pics just to see if she is recognized as a usual suspect******
Tom’s Comment:
Hi Scott
As you probably realize I have a lot of experience with this stuff (I’m the owner/author of the site). Three things in this story smell fishy to me:
1) You met her on Match.com. Things may have changed, but some time back Match refused to take profiles from Russia/Ukraine.
2) How many messages have gone each way before these you pasted here? If it’s been no more than 2-3 then things like “all the day long thought of you” and “You very good friend I are confident and never will hurt me” are HIGHLY suspicious. They jump right off the page at me! I met a Russian girl online who I MARRIED (and we later divorced) who never wrote that kind of stuff even when we were engaged.
3) This message is longer than most will write. This is the least suspicious part because ideally they would write longer intro messages.
Fortunately for you you’re already suspicious, so you’re unlikely to get scammed. See my page at Avoiding Ukrainian Women Scams for ways to avoid scams. You can start at the section entitled “Follow the Money”.
Keep in touch with her, and don’t try to make her prove she is “real”. If you do that you lose either way… if she is a scammer, she will comply with the test and PASS, but if she’s real she will not submit to the tests and discontinue contact. Ironic, I know.
BUT, definitely keep your eyes open… the MINUTE you start hearing about her friend in the travel agency who can get her a visa to visit you the U.S., then you’ll know it’s a scam. Or, if she starts saying the online translation tools aren’t adequately translating messages but that she knows this special service, then it’s a scam.
But if none of that comes up and things progress without more red flags, follow the advice on that link above and plan a trip to see her, IN HER CITY.
Hope that helps!
More from Tom:
No more comments to this post informing us that the same (or different) match.com girl is scamming someone else with the same story. If you post such a comment it will not be approved. We get it, the same girl on match.com is scamming multiple men with the same story. So, anyone reading this… just pretend that you read the same story from hundreds of different men posted here, but they are invisible for the sake of space 🙂
ALSO, the absolute worst way to fight scam is to try to build a list of known scammers. Scammers can get a new email address and pictures DAILY. Why not just remember that if you meet a very attractive supposedly Russian/Ukrainian woman on match.com there’s a >95% it’s a scam. Isn’t that much simpler? And, if you get into dialog with such a “woman”, the 100% sure test is that she needs money for ANYTHING (medicine, airplane tickets to visit you, etc.). Now you’re 100% insulated.

I just as it have lost the father in the past. Wallace thanks you that you have more told to me about women in the USA and about a life as a whole. It was very interesting to me to learn about it. In fact it is frequent in news and magazines write a deceit. And consequently I wished to learn your opinion on it. And me it is pleasant that you have told to me about it. It is very sad that the majority of women to care of their financial position. It is very sad. is there any way to post any pictures for either of the above emails the “girls”?
[Tom’s Comment:]
The photo/file upload feature on my site is not enabled, and I’m not really wanting the site to become a “scammer database”. Since scammers can change pictures, email addresses, and names as often as they want/need, it’s far more reliable to just look at all the common-sense indicators I describe in my scam sections.
Scam lady dealing with her now from match dot com
by: Paul
Yes dealing with her now and her twist for money is she can’t leave Siberia/Russia if she owes a dept to the state (768 USD) and this is after advising her of getting a loan so now she needs money to rid the dept under Russia’s law so she can fly to you! I was fortunate to find the same two letters word for word with two different photos (2015) and (2016) as i have two different email addresses and i rarely delete emails. Anyway long story short yes she is a very decent scammer in my mind as she tries to box you in with no options but to send her or him money so don’t be fooled!
Save your hard earned money!
Yeah, started doing more searches
by: Bert
The words are the same, the pics are not there but you describe her to a “T”. Thanks for the warning! She took a month + to ask for $ for the visa, passport, air fare, etc. Air fare was way too low, so I knew that it wasn’t right. Too bad, she’s a pretty girl! Had me going…
Same here…

I’ve gotten emails from Natalya from Surgut. I did reverse image searches, and nothing came back. I checked the headers for an IP address and they’re from Moscow. It’s safe to say that she’s a scammer, especially because I got the same emails, and basically the same writing style. I asked if she had skype or Facebook, and she said no. That instantly set off warning flags. This confirmed it. Definitely sucks though, she’s beautiful and we actually shared a lot in common.
Deja vu
by: Bert
I carried on email conversations with Natalya from Surgut for about eight weeks or so…figured after about three exchanges she was not legit, although she tried pretty hard. And yeah, the pix she sent are beautiful but I doubt they are really her. Even sent an “I’m Sorry ____ ” with my name, but it looked Photoshopped…
Yes it is a scam

Gentlemen,
Received the same emails from Anastasiya. Almost word for word. She is very pretty and has great photos. She has not asked for money yet. Although the she can’t stop thinking about me! And all of us!
Should I call her out or simply let it go.

The #1 giveaway that the Russian girl is a scam: They post a private email address in their profile and say only contact them with it or they won’t get your message (scam). If it’s a gmail instead of ending in .com it ends in example:gmail.il. And yes the girl I communicated with, very briefly was Natalya
Natalya from Pokachi.
by: Anonymous
The letters sound identical to the woman that I’ve been communicating with since August of 2016. I have already sent a $900 MoneyGram last week. The last name given to me was Skulkyna. 30 yrs old social worker, father died in the military. Rides bus to visit mum, who happens to be the one who gives her advise. Her exboyfriend was unfaithful to her with her roommate. She is in love and wants to marry me. I always knew this was a scam, but she always passed every test.

I’m talking to an Olga right now. I was already very cautious, but now I know for sure. I’m going to keep it going because I want to see her asking for money I can’t wait. I don’t know why I’m so excited to have everything go down in flames. Hahaha oh well I guess it’s part of the game
[Tom’s Thought:]
When she does ask for money, SEND IT! Well, not really, but go Google what a Western Union claim number looks like (how many digits, etc.) and send her a fake claim number. If you do a good job of playing along at least you could cost her an embarrassing trip to the bank.
same here

Talking to an Olga. At first I thought it was a robot (computer) but then actually responded somewhat to my questions about being fake. Same exact writing style and super long messages as above. Super attractive chick (whoever that is obviously not the scammer). I considered perhaps they write long rambling messages in Russia? But haha nope. I would have never sent money though I’m smart AND cheap! hahah.
I have encountered a Russian woman named Maria
by: Anonymous
This entire month of January 2019 I emailed a 32 yr old woman who posted a gmail address on her profile picture and after 4 weeks she still hasn’t said anything about money and we seem to be hitting it off great. I don’t want to make any sudden moves and scare the scammer off but her name is MARIA and her best friend is Alena and her ex Maxim cheated on her. She lives in Tara, Russia. Both parents are alive and kicking. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. There’s a lot of similarities in our stories. Has anyone encountered “Maria”? If so I would love to exchange photos she sent to see if they are the same.
RE: I have encountered a Russian woman named Maria
by: Tom (Site Owner)
I can’t let this page become a hub for listing known scammers and comparing notes, so let’s pass on the exchanging photos. Upload the photo to Google Image Search and see what happens (Google.com, click “images” link at top right, click camera icon in search box, upload picture, click “Search by image”).
But let me take the opportunity to throw another quick red pill out there again… if you meet a Russian girl from a tiny Siberian village on Match.com who puts her email address in her profile, IT IS A SCAM. I guarantee it.
Did you Google her city? Tara, Russia… I see 27K population IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE. That’s strategic… It’s so that:
- You don’t get any strange ideas about wanting to visit her in her city
- The only other ways she’ll ever be able to meet you will cost a LOT (meet you in Moscow or the US)
- She has a good excuse for being unable to speak via video — bad internet connection.
And that meeting location… it’s going to be the U.S. She’s going to have a friend at the travel agency who can facilitate getting her a visa and an economical flight. She’ll say she can pay for all but $453 of the $2100 total, but needs you to send her that final $453, etc., etc., etc.
The Russian girl from the tiny Siberian village on Match.com is always fake.
